I got a question if somebody can help me out with? I live in California and my dog bit somebody.?

The person is suing my homeowners Insurance. A lawsuit has already been filed in the lawsuit will it say how much Iam getting sued for? I got A letter in the mail saying there suing for hospital bills, lawyer cost, Pain and suffering and therapy. I never been sued before in my life so will this other letter iam getting tell me how much iam getting sued for? If so can the price there suing for change?

I know there suing me but there going after my homeowners. By law in california Homeowners has to cover dog bite cases cuz they got out. Were roaming around when they attacked this young guy walking his two dogs will this other letter iam getting will it say how much iam getting sued for?

Ask your insurance agent to ask the company what the status is. They will defend the case and settle the judgment (or more likely, if it is an open and shut case, they will settle before it goes to court).

They'll have an amount in mind, but what they finally get will depend on the case.

First, they are NOT suing your homeowners insurance. They are suing YOU. They may be able to sue for an unspecified amount, but any judgment WILL be for a specific amount. Even if an amount is named in the suit, the number can be amended if additional costs become known.

Sorry... your dog should firstly be put to sleep. Dogs are nice pets and should be kept in house or chained to posts.
