My 17 yr old moved out. Am I responcable for her medical dept after she moved out.?

I live in Texas her 18yth b day is 8/16 It is possible she is using my heath insurance with out my consent and forging my signature. I wont know for sure until next week.

You are responsible for her care and support, which includes medical care, until she is 18, emancipated, or legally married.

She is 17 years of age, and you have a moral responsibility as father to help her with medical expenses. Now if she is forging your name, that is another matter. If you turned her in she being so close to 18 years of age, she might be treated as an adult when the case comes to court. You might first take the matter up with her first, demand payment for any expense you are going to accrue from her actions. Then if you have to turn her in do so, but she may never want to speak to you again. Then you have to look at the fact you may never see your grandchildren, if she starts a family. It is your decision, make the right one.

Don't you think you should be covering her health insurance. And you are REQUIRED to have her on it and financialy support her until she is 18! unless a court ordered emancipation has occured.

Yes you are still RESPONSIBLE for her until she is 18 unless she is court ordered emancipated.

If she needs medical care--would you deny her of it???
