I am having a baby, and my girlfriends insurance is goverment funded...are they going to come back on me?

im 17
she's 19
we live in Ohio
we are TOGETHER
i work (40 hours a week)
she works (30 hours a week)
im still under my familys insurance
she's under caresource ( a government funded insurance)
are they going to come back on me?

Your GF does not have insurance.
Caresource is Medicaid.
Medicaid is not insurance. It's a gift from the taxpayers.

You are not legally responsible for your GF's medical bills, so Medicaid pays her bills without recourse.

You are legally responsible for the child's medical bills. The Medicaid system, usually through the county benefits office, has the right to assert liens against you for the money they expend. The policy may be satisfied if you work out an agreement up front about contributing what you can to the care and upbringing of your child. Approach them rather than having them chase you. Also, see if you can't put your child on the familly insurance policy.

for what??? not understanding your ? since u r not using her insurance and in case u are then they will be able to file charges on you for wrongfully using someone elses insurance for services...

they will probably arrest your girlfriend for rape.
