Could my medical insurance company refuse to pay? |
My son is on crutches after having surgery to lengthen his leg. He has an external fixator device on his right leg and it is attached to 7 pins that are inserted in to the bones in his tibia. This past week he fell because the floors of the school were wet due to students tracking in water from the rain. For those of you who feel they must judge a parent's decisions.....This procedure was done to prevent my son from having a hip replacement at the age of 40. So, Naz....before you judge, know your facts. Your insurance company needs to seek damages from the school's insurance company. They may put this onto you and the school's insurance company will likely come through for you. Get the treatment done now and worry about the billing later. If need be, you can sue and get bills paid plus damages because the school is liable through their insurance company. Slam dunk. Very possibly, normally your insurance company isnt going to want to pay for a accident which another party is responsible for.the schools insurance should be paying for the accident and all care related to it. |
