Qustion about insurance?

My boyfriend got pulled for not have up to date insurance in nc but he has two cars and the other one was insured he transferred them but both of them for some reason was not transferred but the other car is taken car of he choose to just let the expired car be pulled off the road and the insured car became his daily driver would that work in the court room? In nc

Probably.

Most insurance companies cover "all owned vehicles" for a brief period before applying specific coverages to specific vehicles. (For instance, the new car might need collision coverage, and the old car might just need liability coverage.)

The theory is that, had he been in an accident, his insurance company probably would have covered any damage he did to others.

I'd impress the court with the fact that my liability coverage was up to date, but not applied to the correct vehicle. The court may just let him bring proof of coverage and proof that the other car has been taken off the road.

i dont know there but in mt we have a law for failure to have ins. and there is also one that is failure to carry proof of ins the second one is the one i use because it isnt saying you dont have ins. it is only saying you were not carrying proof.
