My boss wrote a check out to me and signed my name on the back.? |
He forged my name. I never received the money and now he is trying to get the insurance company to pay him back. Does anyone know what the punishment is in Ohio for forgery and insurance fraud? I'd imagine it's fairly severe. a few years in jail I would think. Punishments for the very same crime can vary from judge to judge within the same state. Some states have minimum sentencing guidelines but those are usually for very serious crimes, and not white collar crimes. This is a white collar crime. The sentence would also vary depending on the amount of money involved. Talk to the bank and the police? Forgery is a felony, He is in big trouble!!!! You should get a lawyer as long as they will take their fees from your boss and not you. |
