Wrongful Death Lawsuit? |
Does anyone have any real experience with this? My wife was killed two weeks ago by a drunk driver. He crossed the center line and hit her head on. His insurance company says all he had was minimal insurance $15K/$30K and that would have to be divided three ways between the others in the car. Is that really my only recourse? My wife is killed by this guy and I can only come up with about 10K?! because that's alll he was insured for? Unfortunately, yes. The only other recourse is to go after the guy's assets, but considering the fact that he had a minimal policy, I doubt he would have much worth collecting. I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU IF IT WERE ME I WOULD CONTACT AN ATTORNEY AND I WOULD CONTACT MY INS CO AND SEE IF HE HAD ANY REAL PROPERTY THEN YOU WOULD HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON THEN HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY MORE THAN 10,000 MAKE SURE THAT WHEN YOU CONTACT AN ATTORNEY YOU GET FREE CONSULTATION OR IF YOU HAVE A FRIEND THAT WORKS IN REAL ESTATE HAVE THEM DO A TITLE SEARCH AND SEE IF HE OWNS ANY PROPERTY IN HIS NAME OTHERWISE YOU CAN GO TO A PRINTING CO AND GET PAPERS TO TAKE HIM TO COURT YOURSELF AND CUT OUT THE ATTORNEY BECAUSE THEY TEND TO TAKE MOST OF THE MONEY MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU WHAT EVER YOU DO I'M SURE THAT YOU WILL DO THE RIGHT THING THE BIG MAN IS LOOKING DOWN AND HE CAN SEE WHAT IS GOING ON HE WILL TELL YOU WHAT TO DO JUST ASK HIM?????????????GOOD LUCK |
