Im posting this for my mom. She worked for a company in Florida that does very well financially? |
This company consists of a father and daughter team with 3 employees. The father and daughter constantly fight physically and verbally and have puched my mom over the edge..she has had to go and sit in her car until they have stopped punching holes int he walls, cussing and verbally attacking one another, she has been screamed at and forced to work under extreme mental anguish to the point on Friday she could not handle it anymore. The daughter had a car that she offered to seel my mom for $13000.00 the agreement was that they go and get a loan and my mom co-signed it so that it would be in her name as well. She has been driving this car for almost 2 months..provided the insurance and the payments get taken out of her check. On Friday she was told that they didnt feel comfortable with her taking the car and that she needed to park it?? This is my mom's car?? After being yelled out for 1 hour she was told that she wanted the car back and she wanted my mom off the loan. So my mom had to park the car and hand over the keys. She has paid well over $1500.00 so far on this car..they are making life miserable for her and she does not know what to do.. They point blank told her they were trying to get her to quit and she didnt know what to say. Does she have any legal recourse to atleast get back what she paid for this car? There is something call a hostile work environment: Offensive behaviour in the workplace gives a seed to a hostile working environment. It is caused due to the atmosphere of unwelcome behaviour at the place of work. The opposing behaviour in the working environment is being measured on the basis of varied factors. Amongst the major include an act of physically menacing or disgracing, the rate of recurrence harassment act and how serious is the act. Interfering in the work performance of an employee irrationally is also considered among the said factors. Moreover, one of the forms can be biased harassment toward one or might be more that one employee. Furthermore, sexual harassment is also another hostile act; it can be in the form of badly spoken word or any sexual approach, which makes the person uneasy. Though its sound ludicrous, but it is true that not only women are the object of such crisis, even men also are sufferers. Sounds like a contract dispute, so contact an attorney for addvice. Look in your yellow pages. |
