My boss threatened me with the sack because i refused to work saturdays for 拢30.?

He doesnt pay my national insurance or tax on a saturday,he pays everybody cash in hand which i am not comfortable doing because its illegal. What do i do? Its not writing in the contract that i have to work saturdays but he has told me if i dont come in im sacked. Please please advise me?

Find another job. It will be Saturdays for 拢30 first. Once he finds he can blackmail/bribe you, it will just get worse.

Then report him to the taxman!!!!!!!

1)If it isn't written in the contract he can merely ask you to do those hours.Your contract defines the numbers of hours a week you have to work.He can't fire you for not doing overtime and definitly underpaid if it's for a whole day.Discuss the matter with the trade union. They have experience with that kind of cases.
2)If you want to play it dirty and want to take a risk you can threaten to repport the payment method to a tax official.Because paying cash in hand is illegal. But as I said, threatening is a risk.I suggest you use the first one.

There's nothing to stop you declaring the 拢30 to the inland revenue and paying the tax and NI on it yourself. Just declare it on a tax return at the end of the year. As for being sacked then I think that you have to reach some sort of a compromise. You have to take into account the needs of your job/business as well as your own homelife/work balance. How many hours is he asking you to do? See if you can reach a compromise. Is it a good deal compared with the rest of the week?

Don't go in and if he trys tellign you off say that if he sacks you you can ahve him for both unfair dimissal and the illegal no tax wage thing, he will shut up mighty fast if he is smart, if not then your looking at a nice cash settlement and he is looking at a big fien and possibly a month or two in jail, which by the sounds of him he deserves

Are you any good at poker? You can either put up with it, or play him at his own game. Get plenty of evidence that he is employing staff on a Saturday illegally. Then remind him what a valuable employee you are (I'm sure his rivals would like the evidence) and that you are not going to work Saturdays and you'd like a rise - but don't blink!

Your boss is a gangster working in the Black Economy.

Report him to the Inland Revenue.

This will result in him getting a big tax bill plus he will shut up business and you go out into the cold with everyone else.

Take my advice. Just grab the money and no questions asked.

Tell him you'll come in for 50 and not a penny less

what it probably boils down to is either you work saturday, or you don't and risk your job. However if he does fire you for not doing something illegal, than I'm sure you'd be able to sue him or something if the kind

Call his bluff then tell him you'll take him to an Empoyment Tribunal

I would look for another job. You do not want to work for someone who is that dishonest. Start looking for something better and more honest. He is cheating on taxes/

do not bother. Personally if i was in your situation i would get another job, which you would almost certainly get a better pay and it wouldn't be illegal.

He won't sack you, he can't. If he does you can claim unfair dismissal and you will win.

complain to the council, police watever. Get ur sacked then.

he cannot sack you for this as it would be unfair dismissal.

get another job

Work or complain and loose your job. It's up to you.

Don't go. If you get fired take it up with the Police.

slap him

call your labor board

so
