What do you want your country to do for you?

Example my friend want mandatory 1 year paid maternity leave.
My co worker want free health insurance.

I want laws that protect the rights of the employee in a nut shell better labor laws.

how about leave me alone and let me enjoy my life

- Stay out of my paychecks by paying for women to have 1 year of maternity leave for starters.

- Again, stay out of my paychecks by providing health insurance to everyone.

- Stop using my tax money to pay for unions.

All of the things you listed above are state's rights issues anyway.

The best thing that can happen is to leave it up to each individual state and let that state's voters decide what they do and don't want.

I want them to stay out of private life and keep corporations out also. That's why I'm a Democrat.

Example- Reps support intrusion into my private life by:
Deciding who I can marry, who I can have sex with, what sexual positions I can use, listen to my phone calls, read my mail, confiscate my property, search my house, detain me indefinitely for no reason, torture me, etc.

They also want to totally deregulate business and are against min wage, overtime laws, env laws, workplace safety laws, etc.

Well there's no thing as free health insurance. Either you pay yourself or your employer takes the premium off your pay (as in the UK).

I would like the roads to be improved in British Columbia. They are a disgrace!

Considering the population growth and the huge income from taxes, this should be the first consideration. Too many people are being killed and maimed.

i can handle dealing with finding a job that treats me well, I can handle finding my own health insurance and I dont expect my employer to pay me for a freaking year of NOT working because of a decision that I MYSELF made for MY life.

Stop taking my money and spending it on socialist programs whose purpose it is to redistribute the wealth.
