Insurance fraud!! Did I do the right thing? I felt Dr. trying to rip me off so I demanded my money back? |
I scheduled a physical check up with a dr. that was referred to me..the person who scheduled the appointment knew I was a new patient and scheduled me. When I got there I waited 1 hour finally they call me in (I should have left earlier). Assistant explains to me Dr. will only see me for first time consultation(nocheck up) and get to know me better and I have to schedule an appointment after for the physical... Wait wait...I waited 1 hour, your gonna run my insurance and your gonna do what you can do in 1 visit in 2 visit's instead? Hey I didn't go to play around I'm not gonna pay to "get to know the Dr." I don't feel my insurance or I should pay for that!! Why do I have to pay for 2 visit, when it can be done in one. I demanded my co-pay back and did not reschedule I felt lied to and almost ripped off...they gave me my money back..I think this falls into insurance fraud.. Medical history was on the paperwork I filled out Good for you. There is absolutely no reason a doctor needs a "get to know you" appointment to perform a routine physical. A physical is not brain surgery. Medical history. Thats what the Dr. wanted to know. It would have helped him greatly with your checkup. It is a good thing, the doctor needs to meet and get to know you. There are things he needs to know about your lifestyle that are not in your medical history. Your eating habits, drinking habits, and exercise habits to name a few. I would be happy to have a doctor who cared about me instead of just jumping in and assuming things. It is hard to say. You have to check it out yourself.here is some useful information for your question might be helpful.http://insurance.online-assistant.info/c... |
