No insurance ticket-ticket dropped-still have a court date? |
My fiance and I were driving home from an antique auction one night and got pulled over. The car is in my name and so is the insurance. He was driving. They gave him a no insurance ticket because I forgot to put my updated card in the car. We went to the courthouse and showed that I had insurance and it was dropped. That was months ago. Now, suddenly, he gets a letter in the mail demanding he go to court or he'll be put in jail. Wasn't the ticket dropped? We had insurance the entire time. Anyone have any idea what's going on? We keep calling but they won't answer or call us back. He's going to court but I want to know what's going on. Anyone have this happen to them? Probably a clerical error. It happens...have him bring the updated card, and the charge will likely be dropped, again. I would suggest not missing the court date. I agree that that it is likely a clerical error. But missing a court date will likely cause a warrant to be issued for your young mans arrest. |
