Need advice from an illinois insurance law savvy...?

my employee had an accident(her fault-she was behind), was insured, her insurance company wont pay the parties involve claiming it was not her fault.

after 9 months the other parties insurance co. filed a small claims suit versus my old, broke and single mom employee. does she need a lawyer or wait for her insurance company to reply to the summons?

the summons was for her solely, her insurance company was not mentioned at all.

Thats what she pays them for. They represent her in a law suit.
