Is an insurance claim a legal document? |
My husband has an insurance claim from the death of his aunt, however, he has to present an original death certificate with the claim, however, the state where his aunt died only issue death certificates to the parents, spouse or children of the deceased. Since he is the nephew they will not. Would he be able to use the contact of the life insurance policy or use the policy to make a legal claim to obtain the death certificate? Why can't he get a certified copy of the death certificate from one of his relatives? Even if you had the orginial copy there is no way I would let the insurance company have it. They would have to make a copy and I would be walking out the door with the orginial. You should go for a proper program with an expert's help for a better management.
