Register a car in CA. you must have car insurance or your breaking the law ?

New Laws in CA?????
Help , Can Someone tell me About this New laws in Cal about you have have to have car Insurance?, I thought that
that was already a law? Was it??
And if you regiester a car in CA. you must have car insurance or your brecking the law ? True or false ?????

It was already a law and yes you must have proof of insurance or else you will get a hefty fine and maybe your car will be impounded.

Yes, the laws are changing, and yes you must have insurance in order to register any vehicle in CA, very soon there will be a new law, which will make insurance companies send DMV information in case anyone decides no to pay and if the policy cancels, they will notify DMV immediately and DMV won't allow persons to register their vehicle, will contact them about it and it's just getting tougher each year for those who aren't able to keep up with those types of expenses on insurance.

It has been the law in California for several years that you have to have car insurance to register a car. The DMV does not report any changes in that law effective in 2007. Whoever told you that was mistaken.

This is not a new law, it's been around for at least 20 years. Yes the state of California, as many others have a mandatory insurance law. Your insurance must be a minimum amount of Comp and collision. This insurance does not cover your car, but the car of the vehicle that you hit if you are found to be a fault in the accident.

For some interesting reading on the "right to travel" law research conclusions of "conspiracy theorist crackpots" or "anti-government patriots" or whatever they're called these days:
