Why are illegal mexicans allowed to drive without auto insurance?

why can't we send a insurance bill to El Presidente Cauldron for his people driving on our streets injuring people, killing people, and damaging property without insurance? The county hospitals emergency rooms are filled with illegal aliens seeking medical treatment that americans taxpayers are footing the bill for. An uninsured illegal mexican ran into my truck and totaled it and I am stuck with the bill.

About 10 percent of the drivers on any given road are uninsured. That does not depend upon immigration status. I suppose, by extension, if you were hit by an anglo uninsured driver that you would want me, the U.S. taxpayer, to pay for it for you. Sounds suspiciously like socialism to me. What I recommend is that in the future you pay for uninsured motorists coverage.

they are not allowed to drive without insurance. just because they do doesn't mean it is allowed by law. what do you expect? they're here illegally. you think that he's going to get insurance to be legal?

They aren't. It is no more lawful for an illegal immigrant to drive without insurance than anyone else, and the penalties for doing so apply to all. But that doesn't mean that people don't do so unlawfully, which is why uninsured motorist's insurance exists. Buy some for your next vehicle.

Do you have insurance? If someone totalled your truck and did not have insurance then shouldn't your insurance company pay?

Did you call the police? The police would have impounded the other driver's vehicle. That would get an uninsured driver off the road and he would eventually lose the vehicle because he would not be able to retrieve it. The police would also cite him for driving without insurance and a license.

An illegal alien cannot get a driver's licencse so he would not also be able to obtain insurance. He possibly would have been taken into custody. That might have also lead to his deportation.

I've heard of this happening to people dozens of times.

The type of people who justify living here illegally, also justify breaking any law to serve their individual needs.

The guy who hit you should get a one way ticket back to where he came from---paid for by impounding and selling the car he was driving when he hit you.

In reality, a large part of our population is mad at injustices such as these. But by the time it hits the media it becomes a racial issue and very valid citizen concerns get trounced on and obscured by those with an agenda.

Most people are afraid to voice opinions such as yours unless they are on an anonymous blog because they are afraid of being perceived as politically incorrect or to the extreme----bigots.

There seems to be a lot of people getting very annoyed with the issue of illegal aliens, but at the same time they seem to be getting employment from Americans who are only too willing to exploit these people for cheap labor, that's is why we have this problem, the government should be coming down much harder on anyone employing them, and also anyone selling these people vehicles knowing full well they have no insurance etc...
These people most of which can't speak any English let alone understand a road sign are driving around in wrecks that someone has sold them, have no concept and do not care about the consequences of who could be injured, and it is pointless as in your case to pursue a claim against them.

You should however be allowed to claim against the person who sold them the vehicle ILLEGALLY!!! or gave them the means to be able to buy the vehicle ILLEGALLY!!! which may come from one of the American tax payers you mentioned.
