USPS lost my package and I didn't have insurance. Can I file a claim? |
I shipped the item with a paypal label and have a tracking number but I did not purchase insurance(laptop $300). The post office has not been able to locate the package since it left jacksonville in mid-may and the buter has filed a paypal complaint. USPS has given me a confirmation number for further inverstigation of the issue but have not said anything about refund for value. Will I have that option to file a claim with USPS if the item is determined lost? did the buyer say to ship it without insurance? if the buyer's instructions were to to decline insurance it is the buyer's problem, if the buyer asked you to insure it you have a problem, at any rate no insurance no claim it just depends on who eats it you or the buyer. Don't lose any of the paperwork, pay pal might do a charge back and then you will have to try to keep your money. Good Luck Postmaster General with paypal shipping it would be wise to have the post office scan them in cause they don't. They are over paid have POOR SERVICE HORRIBLE. GUESS WHAT THEY HAD Report It THEY HAD MY PACKAGES STOLEN AFTER THE FIRST ONE GOT STOLEN I CALLED THE LOCAL POST OFFICE TOLD THEM NOT TO LEAVE ANY PACKAGES LEFT AT MY DOOR Report It THEY DON'T LISTEN TWO MORE PACKAGES WERE STOLEN AGAIN. Report It SO in other words you will not get any where with your local post office. Try headquarters so you could complain. Report It CONTACT THE POST MASTER HIS ADDRESS IS ABOVE! ask paypal if they can help. |
