Is there a law regarding non married people and insurance? |
If two people cohabitate can their partner be covered with their health insurance. Gay or staight, no matter No law granting or denying (as far as I am aware. . .). Individual companies can however cover a domestic partner. Many forward thinking, large companies do including Microsoft, Apple, Google, etc. They are not going to ask a lot of questions about your partner if you do have an opportunity to use the policy because that's the point. Usually not, but check with your provider. Depends on the carrier.....many health carriers now have clauses for "life partners".... no law inregards to this, it is up to the individual carrier as to they they will cover |
