Siding damage by strong wind, snow storm in American Northwest. Insurance company denied claim,? |
saying siding job, when it was originally done (before we bought the house) was shoddy workmanship. Many houses were damaged in this storm, and I noticed that the streetlight two intersections away from our house had a bent pole (the pole that comes from the ground pole that the light is attached to. Do we have any grounds for rebuttal? What is the legal definition of "shoddy workmanship"? Does the fact that there were (admittedly from the insurance adjuster) "many claims" after this storm point to the fact that the wind velocity was extraordinary and that "shoddy workmanship" was not a factor in the damage? By the way, the siding was ripped off only one side of our house. Please no venting, just give us a good balanced view. Thanks! It doesn't matter, they insured the house for you and they should have taken the time to inspect it themselves. Go after them with a vengeance and take no prisoners. Make sure you call the insurance board in your state and file a complaint. Nail the cheap jokers for EVERYTHING you can. |
