Medical Insurance under your bf/gf health coverage policy?

if your not married how long do you have to live togeather to obtain medical coverage under your partners policy? And does the state of CT. allow this? anyone know?

That depends on the employer. Many do not offer such coverage. Others offer it only to couples who cannot legally marry (gays and lesbians).

If there is no bar to you marrying, companies generally don't see a need to offer you benefits.

In those cases where the company does offer benefits to opposite sex couples living together, they normally require six months of receipts showing shared expenses, and often require things like joint bank accounts, joint credit cards, or a shared mortgage.
