If you needed a lawyer would you hire Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy?

Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, the nation's largest immigration law firm is under federal scrutiny over whether it helped major U.S. corporations disqualify American job applicants and give thousands of high-paying positions to immigrants.

Of course they did. If they weren't helping them give jobs to immigrants while pretending to favor Americans (as the law appears to require), what were they being paid for in the first place?

Compliance with the law is actually pretty easy. What you need a lawyer for is to appear to comply with it when you already have decided to hire an immigrant before the job is even announced.

If I needed an immigration lawyer, that "scrutiny" wouldn't rule them out. But they are probably way too expensive for me.

High powered (and therefore high priced) lawyers explore the gray areas at the edges of the laws to find ways to work within those laws to their client's advantage. If the work of these immigration lawyers upsets you, you'll have an even tougher time looking at the handiwork of big-deal tax attorneys.

THE LATTER TWO.

No. I would hire Dewey, Cheatum and Howe. :-D
