My daughter is in jail in Mexico for drug transport. She owns IRS money, is she exempt?

She was transporting marihuana from Mexicali to USA and got caught by Mexican Police, purging a 5 years sentence, lost her car, drug, and now the IRS wants some money as payment for the year she was trapped. Do I need to report to the IRS she is in jail? She was resident alien but I think she lost this status, because maybe the PGR reported this illicit to the USA department of immigration.

With a drug conviction in Mexico, yes, her green card will be revoked, and she will never be allowed back into the US.

You can advise the IRS of this if you want, but since she's not coming back to the USA, they really aren't a problem to her any more.

LMAO!. ur daughter is F*cked. Mexican Jail!? that's gonna be the longest, most terrifying years of your daughters life. She would be alot safer at a jail over here. Good luck with that though. As long as she deserves it though.

Another bad immigrant America didn't need, kudos to the Mexican Police!

report her sure
