Do lawyers always make a lot?

When you become a lawyer are you assumed to make a lot of money or is pay dependable? Also if you decided to go into immigration law, will you make a good amount?

Lawyers make a well above average wage. But not in the beginning.

You have to bill a certain amount of hours per month or year. Sounds like you are making big bucks, but the whammy is it might require you to work 80 hours a week, which was how my first year was. Now, I have to win to get paid, but I have less hours (because I have more experiance).

Immigration law is very cool. I did Immo in the beginning. It helped pay the bills, but not something I would want to do forever.

If you choose to become a lawyer, make damn sure you get a good legal secretary and paralegal. They are worth their weight in gold.
