Why don't people see anything wrong with illegal immigration? |
Why are there so many left wing liberals who are willing to overlook this crime? First they say we are all imigrants, true, but my great grandfather waited outside Ellis Island for days to come into this country and did it the right way. Next they say that illegals do the jobs we don't want. Said who. These people are stealing jobs from our kids. Sound like a job your kid should do? Bus boy, dishwasher, landscaper? Shouldn't high school kids be doing these jobs to learn the value of a dollar and hard work? Illegals, go back where you came from! I think that the people who don't see ILLEGAL immigration as a problem have been brainwashed, really. True, everyone in this country has come from a different country at some point in time, but most of our ancestors did it the right and legal way. You are all mixed up, Immigration is a wedge issue it is not left or right, some on the left say that we need them here and some on the right especially the corporatist say we need them here. If you ask me we need to jail the Americans that are hiring illegals, they are the ones giving the illegal the motivation to come here in the number that they do. I think the big hearted liberal that has gotten attached to a illegal in their life and the corporatist conservative that want illegals here for profit are the problem. haha you think only left wing liberals want illegal immigrants in this country? Your high schooler is still free to do these jobs. Next time they say "they do the jobs we dont want" correct them and say "no...they do the jobs we dont want for low wages...of course we will do the job for a fair wage, but who wants to cut lawns for 2 bucks an hour? I did a little market research in a Mexican boarder state that had a huge illegal population before the rest of America did. What I discovered was this, there was a huge wage gap between my home state (without illegals) and this boarder state, when it came to unskilled jobs, $7/hr vs $11/hr hard labor. When it came to jobs that required a skilled trade or college education, both states were about the same as far as income was concerned. The overall cost of living in the boarder state was significantly lower than my home state with food being only slightly higher (about 5-10%) and middle income housing running at about 2/3 of the cost. In retrospect I wished I had checked out the lower income housing market. My guess is that it would be about a one for one between my state and the boarder state. These guys knew they had the people over a barrel and were milking them for all they were worth while the feds forked over taxpayer money to cover the incremental cost of supporting the illegal population. Illegals set themselves and honest tax paying states up for exploitation, so yes I see a problem with it. because we don't have the opportunity to do it legally. so we do what we can for our family in hope of them doing better later on. the only thing is that since the next generations don't suffer to get where they are, they sometimes take things for granted. like its been said before, if you put the work in to reach your goal, it'll be done. so if someone wants to get a job as long as you try you can keep going. like you for example didn't really suffer as much as someone in another country. of the human race we are not seperated by the word legal and illegal. who else would know more than the ones who have experienced it. |
