Why would someone want to become an immigration lawyer?

Why would someone want to become an immigration lawyer?

I am working towards becoming an immigration lawyer, and I know that I am doing it because I want to use my knowledge and 'power' to help those underrepresented and misinterpreted. I am Hispanic, so I see it as a personal issue. I don't know how the money is(but I must make a living). Essentially, I want to do this to help my people have a voice.

Everyone is an immigrant. People say 'Gringos' are USA natives and that just not true; Indians are actually the ones that 'belong' here, if you wanna go there. It's to bad the minute men are so ignorant.

Money and perhaps a belief that the system must be changed. I thought about it 20 years ago, but decide to become a prosecutor instead. The nice thing was that we, as prosecutors never made an issue on immigration. That was not a consideration unless, if expelled while on probation, they reentered illegally, they had to go to prison, only because probation could not work.

It is steady easy work and the government will pay you to defend these people, including the illegal ones! A lawyers dream!

to help someone who might be unfairly deported from the country, for example.

Because EVERYONE has to be represented by an attorney.
