What the hell is the matter with UK? |
Now it is terminal 5 at Heathrow it will soon be the Olympics. At the bridge over the Thames they had to close it because it felt unsafe to those crossing it. The west Coast line is consistently delayed due to overrunning works. motorways have cones all over the place because of roadworks but rarely do you see anyone actually working. Every time you have a query it is nobody's responsibility and they rarely ring back. things are delivery scratched chipped or otherwise broken. most government and Council departments seem only their to inconvenience the law abiding and no-one seems to be able to draw back and say, "No that is stupid!" before the press is involved. Laws are implemented without the consent of parliament and immigration exists only to inconvenience British citizens entering their own (or what was once their own) country Yes mad Keith I do feel better but I think my points are valid and I do think this is still a good country to live in, What I do see is things getting worse in spite of modern technology and the frustration of finding myself talking to someone on the sub-continent who is answering according to a script and this after a five minutes of the your call is important to us drivel. if it was that important someone would answer the blo-dy 'phone Yes OK.....think you just said it all so why should I bother answering ....yes that's life here in UK .... a load of .....but its all not doom and gloom ...mm mm let me see OK I'm still smiling and geese OK have great friends , decent life, a caring network who are there when needed , I'm afraid that's life. Thing have always - and will always - be like that, everywhere in the world. Never were delays fixed in a matter of days (unless of course it should have been fixed in a few hours) - never have things been delivered 100% undamaged, never have members of any governmental organisation been 100% effecient and 100% polite. afraid weve lost it....we are in the last throes of the fall of the British empire....sad I know. You only have to look at the postings on this site to see that so many people agree with you. I agree with you. How many times have I put the phone down recently because I got fed up of holding on, even though my call was important to them. We shouldn't accept poor service, but we do because we are British I suppose. And people are ranting at the state of the country without trying to see the good points. We've put up with 11years of this crap and it would take a lot longer to put it right. People are leaving this hell hole at an alarming rate, only to be replaced by immigrants and do the Government do anything to reverse the trend?do they B0110x! I can tell you what is the matter with the UK!The wrong ones are in charge! It seems a lot of corners are being cut to make the biggest profit! It starts at the top Gordon Brown working it's way down to the rank and file! I bet your glad to get all of that of your chest, hope you feel a little better, but then i do agree with you The problems you are having are experienced by people all over the world. Its the cost of living in an overcrowded world. I guess that's whats make Britain, Britain. the UK is now just a sponge that is trapped in a u bend of a toilet & is soaking up all the shite, and nobody(the goverment)will put in their hand ,pull it out,&give it a good squeeze to remove all the shite!!!!!!!!! look what other counties abroad ,we are lucky ,i think |
