Can immigration pull you over for speeding, like a regular cop would?

I went to Mexico this last weekend, and noticed a lot of immigration cars on the highway, coming back from Mexico, and wondered this. I live in Arizona, so I know that highway patrol can pull you over for going over (75mph), its obvious, but what about immigration? Do they only have the right to pull you over if they think there is something suspicious (or illegal) in your car (like trafficking people)? Or can they also pull you over for traffic violations (on the highway)?

i think (not a 100%sure) that they can not pull you over for speeding, but they definetely can if they think something is going on....

Any law enforcement officer needs probable cause to stop you. Immigration probably uses speeding as probable cause. Other easy PC issues include burned out tail light, weaving, improper lane change, etc.

Only if they have reasonable doubt, they can't pull you over for traffic violations.

i think they can only pull you over if the vechicel looks suspicious of trafficing people or drugs over the border.

Any law enforcement officer can pull you over for traffic voilations. If you are obviously breaking a traffic law then that qualifies for probable cause that you are breaking the law. In Florida, immigration, wildlife and game and any other law enforcement officer can pull you over for any traffic violation.
