Let change immigration laws now?

We need to change the immigation laws.Spouse of Americans should not need visa.They should not have to go through all this stuff.They should not have to be apart like it is now. Help changes these laws.

I think it time we change them also.It is wrong the way they are now.Don't punish people that try to do things right.And that is all these laws are doing now.Its about money.And if you agree with this laws then you should have to go through it also even if you not married from another country

The problem with that is all the people who would marry Americans just to get into the country, then divorce. That is a problem, and apparently many Americans are willing to do this for the right price.

Why should it be changed? The laws have worked for years and it is easy for a wife to obtain a visa. All it takes is some planning ahead.

Nope, I think we should make the laws even tighter. Make them beg for it along with pay for it. Make them take a test that is ten hours long all about US History (in ENGLISH).

The laws are there for a reason. If you want to be a citizen, go through the legal channels and apply. Same for soon-to-be parents - don't cross our borders to give birth just so you can stay here illegally with your child.

I agree. It took 5 years for my wife to get her permanant green card. The sad thing is the house full of illegals down the street can come here and get free food stamps, free health insurance and free schooling without ever paying a cent of taxes here in the US. But yet our spouses are treated almost like criminals until they get their citizenship. It is hard for them to get a legitimate job, health insurance, or anything else. We would have had an easier time if she had come here illegally and then gotten married.
