Should america adopt an immigration law because many non americans are coming here faster than ever?

Should suspected terrorists not be allowed here....and if not a suspected terrorist, should the fed govt make a law saying only allowed here for one year, and then make an appointment with someone in the govt to renew that every year to keep track of the status of non americans....i think non americans ruin this country by taking all the resources americans can use and create a terroristic and religious threat to hurt american citizens....i live in fear sorta cause i don't know maybe someday some al qaida might come down my street and blow me up with a bomb around him, just wondering if anybody can speak up about this besides me, thank you for your concern

I can tell you that the ruining you're referring to was also a thought 200 years ago. But look what the polish and german people have brought to this country. Their culture~which is part of us today. 50 years ago it was the Japanese. 20 years ago is was the Hmong. And they also bring a richness to the USA. With all cultures comes the bad and good including the original settlers-Native Americans. But again, they gave us so much and still do today. We need to keep inviting people into our country. A native from Iraq may be trying to escape Muslim extremists-which is almost always the case. So they come to the USA and with that they bring their heritage that gives us a "richness we may have never known".

I think that we need to stop worrying about hurting people's feelings and start thinking more about national security and denying access to our country from people that come from hostile countries...

your question is too broad. all non americans are not bad for US. most of them are good for this economy. there are lots of black or white people here dont work and live in a welfare. however there are lots and lots of good non american work their azzzzz off and make economy better here and also their country.

Right now immigrants, especially illegal immigrants, are coming in faster than they can be integrated into our society. We will always need skilled immigrants to do what we can't and unskilled immigrants to do what we don't want to, but we have to be able to decide who can come in. The Immigration Bill that Congress recently rejected would not have done enough to discourage illegal immigration.
