This is an illegal immigration analogy?

I plan to build a house on property owned by someone else without their permission. But I figure once I start building, the local jurisdiction will issue me a building permit even though I do not own the land.

what message are we send young people about obeying the law?

I talked with someone from Venezuela who told me that if someone leaves their house or apartment alone during vacation times, someone else can move in and just take over, with government sanction. So..she has to have someone sit in her house while on holiday. What we have going on in the US is very similar....but we cannot explain or justify this blatant disregard for law abiding citizens.

Nope, not a good analogy. Many illegal immigrants do not want to become citizens because they would have to pay income tax on their wages.
