Should we allow the new immigration laws to pass?

No. This country has passed numerous amnesty bills over the last few decades - it obviously doesn't solve any long term problems. The people in Washington pushing for this crap are just trying to get people instant gratification, so they don't have to hear about it any more.

People have such strong feelings toward this question. Either you are for the new law or completely against it. No grey area for a lot of people.

Most people don't understand or care about the circumstances. The fact is were talking about human beings and in most cases families.

Lets Say: A person has been here since the early 80's. He was brought here as a baby by his mother to escape a war. He now has a family of his own and all he wants to do is work, which he can't do legally. Just to simply say he has to leave because he is illegal isn't fair to him or his family.
This country is all he has ever known. Why should he have to leave now? Most people answer, Because he is illegal... How many laws have you broken??? Ever run a red light and didn't get caught. Do you speed? Lets just say the cops knock on your door and say we think you speed were going to take your license away. It's a freedom you have, maybe even abuse and then suddenly someone takes it away.

The other question: Temporary worker programs. People use this program because they may make $10 a day in their home country. Here they can make minimum wage and still make far better money, save it, and use it in their own country. The argument is they take American jobs. Tell me: What American is going to work in a strawberry or Tobacco field for minimum wage? If they work full time - they would expect benefits, higher wages, etc... When you start paying $15 or more for a small package of strawberries maybe then you would understand. I heard someone from congress say on Tuesday it was an excuse to keep wages at a minimum. YES it sure is. What's wrong with that? You are doing a favor to the American people (Prices) as well as helping out someone with temp work.

These people are breaking the law. They want the laws changed so they can break the law to meet there needs.
Alls of us would like to break a law sometimes. WE can't start letting people change the law to meet their nees. That is why we have a constitution. If you want to be an American live by the American laws. If I want to go to Mexico I have to obey their laws they will not change them for me.
