Is it not enough to enforce the Immigration Laws on the books?

if we are a Nation of Laws, why not live up to the Laws already in place!

Because they are the government and they can do whatever they want and they don't have to listen to us because they are too high above us. They are the deciders. Not us. Americans have no say in what they do with our tax money. Don't worry, they would only do what is best for us, the people. It's not like they receive large amounts of money in return for passing legislation in favor of big businesses, or anything... You should just go back to sleep and let the grown-ups do what needs to be done. And when the president goes on TV to speak frankly and honestly to the american people, he will make sure to not use big words so we dumb citizens don't get confused. In the government they are smarter, better looking, more ethical, and more patriotic than all of us citizens combined, times two billion. They are like gods. They own us, and we are their slaves. Give them your guns! Slaves can't have guns! What do you mean you want them to secure the border? Where do you think you are? A FREE COUNTRY?

This may be the views choice, but certainly not mine. The Bush hater, which includes myself, needs a lesson in civics. The answers were way out in the bleachers of left field Report It

We are supposed to be a nation of laws. Unfortunately the interests of agriculture and business have created an environment in which the immigration laws have been ignored for years. Now the problem is enormous. It should be enough to enforce the existing laws, but congress refuses to do so. It leaves us with a hobson's choice, i.e. draft new legislation or let the problem grow. Personally I think we should recall all of outr elected "representatives - an I use the word representative very losely- and replace them with non-career politicos who will actually vote as their constituents direct them to.
