Does anyone have an honest reason why the Immigration Bill didn't pass?

What is or can be done at the local and state levels (CA. and AZ., as these are border states) in place of this law for problems like ID theft, illegal work, illegal housing, healthcare issues, crime, border crossings, etc.?

Dont get me started....Im so mad about all this. HELLO! ILLEGAL! Enough said. How can hundreds of thousands get away with this...while others are up working their butts off everyday to make a living.

Because Americans leaned on their representatives not to vote for it. Most Americans don't want illegals to get amnesty. We want them kicked out.

Why is it we in New England always listen to you people in California piss and moan about Immigration? You never hear stories of the bizzillions of Canadians crossing the border to work in the United States. Is it because Canadians are largely white, not Hispanic? I bet it is entirely an issue of race and you are all bigots. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

Have any illegal who commits a crime deported.

it did not pass, because both houses of Congress wanted to keep their jobs in the up coming election, and they knew the voters were not behind the bill,.....the phone calls and e-mails showed them that,.....

Because there are to many idiots in congress that can't agree and they are all thinking about their reelection campaigns

*Well, the thousands of americans in jail for ID theft can stop stealing ID's. My ID is only good for those blond, blue-eyed americans/illegals.
*Is there such a thing as illegal WORK? I mean isnt it still work, perhaps its illegal if you are working in an illegal industry, aka drugs? However, probably being an accountant for the mafia, doesnt necessarily make it illegal work, unless you're using your position to commit a crime. But if you steal from them, aren't you righting a wrong?!
*How can housing be illegal? I suppose squatting in someone else's home is illegal (and should be) but if you pay rent how is that illegal? I guess all those homeless drunks in the city who aren't paying rent for the alleys they live in are also receiving illegal housing?
*By healthcare issues, you must mean that as a group americans are far more genetically and mentally 'sick' than Hispanics, as they use far less in health services and meds/drs than we do? I guess americans should try to eat healthier, lose weight, and exersize more like Hispanics do, that would solve alot of healthcare issues.
*Gosh, crime is so rampant, I love living in one of the most violent countries in the world. Of course, illegal aliens commiting crimes here should be deported, as well as the legal aliens, and any naturalized citizens commiting felonys.
*Border crossings can be solved at the elementary level by having stricter punishments for those children who color outside the lines. I believe that heavy america to mexico propaganda aimed at the primary schools will solve this.

The people in Congress are representatives of the citizens of this country. We let them know that we were against Amnesty for illegals. They want to keep their position so they listened to their voters.
