A friend got BUSTED for possession and has IMMIGRATION pending will it affect?

will it cancel ones chances of getting citizenship if he got caught with drugs..i need to know if i should start looking for a new employee.

It will negate his chances of becoming legal if he is convicted.
He will serve time for possession, and then be deported.
It would be a good idea to start looking for a new employee.
