Why does the US gov not care about illigal immigration from Mexico?

If the boarder police use any amount of negligible force, they get charged and lately go to jail too, so most have resorted to sitting back watching the illegals storm in without any fences in most areas. Has the US indirectly opened its borders without inforing its citizens and the 'police' are stationed just for show?

Dems get votes, Republicans get kickbacks from businesses who hire them cheap...but guess who pays for their welfare, foodstamps, free medical care and free tuition as they flood our schools, and oh yeah they are overcrowding our prisons and we pay for more prisons and early release of prisoners too. Why can't we overthrow the government since both sides are bought off? I will march into the whitehouse to protest if a group signs on.

I think what you said in your last sentence is exactly what is happening!! If they do I will move to another country. Enough is enough! I can hardly feed my own family let alone continue to feed all the illegals and their like. If something doesn't get done soon to correct this I am seriously thinking about packing and going to a country that has not forgotten about it's own people. I might be new there, but I will carry my own weight and not leech off their system.

The Democrats see them as potential voters and the Republicans see them as cheap labor. So for the price of fraudulent voters and cheap labor, we are all paying the price - in the form of higher taxes, lower wages and stresses on the health and social service systems.

The solution is very easy, round 'em up and send 'em home, change the anchor baby laws (let them take them home with them, they can come back when they are 18) and increase the number of legal immigrants (and DO NOT allow anyone who came her illegally to apply for legal immigration). But it won't happen because he legals will require hire wages (and benefits) and won't all necessarily vote Democrat.

The government cares its just what can we do? The illegals are protected by loop holes in the law.

I agree that not enough is being done, but there has been marked improvement in the appearance of caring. The only way, iMHO to reduce the illegals is to take away the jobs.

If companies were punished for hiring them the market for jobs would be elminated and there would no longer be a reason to come here. For instance, if a construction company was able to build 40 homes a year with only 5 employees on which they paid taxes and had papers - they should get a fine so big that it would put them out of business. This happens a few times and companies would be darn sure their employees had papers.

In 1919, Theodore Roosevelt said that we were becoming hyphenated Americans. How true his prediction has become! What the bi-partisan legislation proposed recently should have been called "shamnesty". There would have been Z visas fro criminal aliens, in-state tuition for children of illegals, legal status for gang members, and border enforcement only if money is allocated.

We need legal immigrants of good faith assimilating into our country. They need to be treated with the exact equality with everyone else. If an immigrant tries to keep segregated with people of his own origin & separated from the rest of America, then that person isn't doing their part as an American.

There needs to be a clear path to citizenship...earned citizenship, not amnesty!

Immigration laws go unenforced due to the willful disdain and inaction of local and federal officials. If we annoy our congressional leaders enough, we may get some attention.

Most of the people coming in from Mexico are coming in legally with a temporary visa. They just don't go home and then they are here illegally.
