This is my story please read? more better if are immigration lawyer?

I'm 16 and just became a usa pernament resident, thanks to my step-dad. also my mom became one. well back to my story, the lawyer that was handling my case told me that i can become a naturalize citizen at the age of 18 because i have been in school in the united states for a long time, well i think that is what he said. because i can not remember the reason. WELL I WANTED TO CONFORM if THIS IS RIGHT AND WHERE CAN I FIND THE INFORMATION ABOUT MY SITUATION. before going to his office again. please help! don't put stupid comments. i am serious, i want to do a better for the united states. <i been here in the united states ever since i was 1>

I think you have to wait for 5 year until you can become naturalize.You may want to check with INS website for any changes they have made since 9/11

Congratulations on getting resident status. I think you need to stay on top of this though, dot the i's and cross the t's to make sure you get citizenship. Soneone else said u have to wait 5 years but I think the school time counts etc.

Your lawyer just told you the answer you need. Well my advice to you is to get your citizenship as quick as possible. You dont' want to be deported for an aggravated felony.
