Does this convince you we need to build the fence and limit immigration/movement between Mexico and the U.S.? |
Since 1980, a treaty between the United States and Mexico has permitted either country to refuse to extradite citizens in the absence of assurances that the death penalty will not be imposed. Until two years ago, American prosecutors frequently agreed not to seek the death penalty in order to have fugitives returned to their jurisdictions. In October 2001, the Mexican Supreme Court ruled that life imprisonment violates the country's constitution, and Mexico now interprets its treaty obligations in light of that decision. It is no longer sufficient for a prosecutor to waive the death penalty; now assurances of a determinate sentence must be given. Currently, prosecutors must try to win extradition by charging a fugitive with a lesser offense that doesn't match the seriousness of the crime. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1... http://feinstein.senate.gov/03Releases/r... http://feinstein.senate.gov/03Releases/r... READ THE ARTICLES ON THE LINKS to understand the gravity of the need to build the fence stop the free movement between the U.S. and Mexico. What's the problem? Just sentence to 100 years and maybe 25 years off for good behavior. Naw. They don't like t get caught in texas. That is insane and the last straw unless you can do what i stated up there. So between the millions of illegals criminals in jail here or the 3 americans in jail in Mexico, Mexico is asking us not to extradite them? Gee, I wonder why... I imagine that the fence will probably built by illegals, now wouldn't that be ironic. And once the fence is built, we'll just wait for them to start tunneling under it. Oh wait, they already have hidden tunnels. Any more bright ideas? a fence across a rural countryside is a waste of money i hate illegal immigrants..(thumbs down but so what) they claim we have rights now because we are here, well then head to jail cause you just broke 1 law. and if your not paying taxes like the rest of us go to jail again. >_< not racest or anything just dont like illigal immigrants Screw the fence as fences never work. People will find a way in and a fence will cost billions year after year forever. |
