Is the USA a nation divided now because of the highly controversial immigration issues??? |
Thank you all for sharing your opinions on this subject. I will however put this question into vote and let the public decide who answered it best. You can pick almost any issue and someone will feel that it is the top issue and the country is divided on it. I believe that most people are in agreement that the Issue of Illegal Aliens is out of hand. There are many things wrong with the way we handle this sitation and many of the problems are our governments doing. I don't think American Citizens in this country are divided on this issue at all. It's certainly a divisive issue, especially in border states. I think we are always divided on every issue out there...not limited to, nor excluding immigration. that's the great thing about this country. you can think about different issues in anyway you want, and the nation is still not divided in a patriotic way. well, not since the civil war anyway. People are divided over Bush's potential decision to build a fence across the US-Mexican border. Also parts of Bush's Patriot Act are controversial because it is strict. Immigration itself isnt so controversial. I think it is more Bush than anything. No, we citizens are united in this cause. Illegal immigrants aren't citizens. |
