The right to leave.?

I am sorry, but, after hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. No where did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation - not even close. Sorry if this offends anyone but this is MY COUNTRY - IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP ---- please pass this along~
I am not against immigration - just come through like everyone else. Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past --- and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who
Is seeking a better life by coming to ! America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans.....we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese,
Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian,
Right wing, political slogan.. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women.......on Christian principles............. Founded this nation..... And this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home.........because God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so! But once you are done complaining....... Whining...... And griping....... About our flag...... Our pledge...... Our national motto.......or our way of life...I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other Great American Freedom......

Some people are taking this like I am a a$$hole. I am not a saying that freedom of speech is only for English, but why do I have to learn the other languages??? What fired me up was I went to Dallas to visit family and I was chewed out by a muslim or whatever they were because my wife was in shorts and a tee-shirt. She was not coverd up like they were! This is what I am talking about.

You cannot display in God we trust because the constitution doesn't acknowledge a national religion. I am offended that you gripe and complain and generally are a hypocrite about people "not be allowed to say merry christmas"! you can say merry christmas, but you cannot diplay that in a government school, where jewish children, buddhist children, any other child goes to school. By the way, d!ckface, Winter Break also occurs over Chanukah.And I really don't give a sh!t about the religion of the founding fathers. There is no national race. that's the point of America-that everybody can be american once they are a citizen. If you're telling everyone to go back where they came from, then you would be split into at least ten little pieces which would go zooming across the world. Native Americans aren't the American race- they immigrated from asia millions of years ago over what is now the aleutian islands. What the f*ck is our sovereignty? It takes an average of seven years to become fluent in a new language. how would you like it if somebody dumped you in a country with a different language, and started yelling at you (in that language) to learn it! Do you thnk you would get it right away? No you wouldn't.

I too am not against people immigrating here LEGALLY. However, I do agree with what you're saying. It's been one of my complaints a lot over the past few years. My family is from Ireland, do you think any of them continued to speak Gaelic? NO! They learned to speak American English (because there is a difference) & adapted to the culture here, not the other way around.

I completely agree with you. I am so tired of people complaining about every little thing and trying to be polictically correct. If you don't like certain programming turn it off not ban it. If you don't like a certain author dont' read the book not try to ban it. If you dont like the way Americans do things dont come here or dont' stay. This is a melting pot society and that means you adapt to the ways that are American and not change the American ways to suit yourself. I am tired of buying something and having to scan through 3 different languages before finding the English one. I won't continue because I could right a book with how frustrated I am about this topic.

I am hispanic, and I understand your frustration about inmigration, I also agree with you about the National Anthem it should be JUST singing in english as we come to United States we should adapt to your culture (as I have and LOVE this country as if I would have born here), I know many hispanic people that didn't like the anthem in Spanish we felt ashamed and we apologize for that, saying that...let me tell you a few things...1) a lot of men and women serving in the military are hispanics, they die for this country and they will fight for it till the end 2) a lot of immigrants coming here ilegally pay taxes when they buy food, clothes, etc, etc. etc. 3) when you say that now you have to watch everything you say and do so you wont hurt anybody...have you checked WHO ARE THE ONES COMPLAINING ABOUT? most of them are AMERICAN CITIZENS who are offended for certain things....why? because that is variety...you have the right to believe in what you want, do what you want and say ....well hopefully we can still say what we want.

I happen to agree with this. Historically, what is it that made America (USA) such a great country is that although we all came from different cultures and backgrounds we were one country. We learned the common language, we learned the common customs, we sent our children to their schools, heck we even died for this country. The USA allowed us to keep our family customs in our families. They allowed us to disagree with them and not get punished for it. They have even allowed groups to form and evolve that are trying to destroy it.
Why did America do this? Because of a concept called freedom. But when freedom is getting slighted by special interests, and when the majority is losing freedoms and rights to minorities, its time for these minorities to use their freedom to move and find a place that fits them better.

Yes American history is filled with atrocities committed against other peoples, but which country does not have a similar history. Which peoples of this planet did not at one time or another subdue another? How long should a person have to pay for mistakes made by their ancestors. How long should someone benefit today because of injustices done to their ancestors?
