Does it matter what race or Nationality a person is if they are illegally in the USA?

The Idea that a person who opposes the Amnesty or Immigration bill being pushed by some politicians is somehow considered a race issue,..is totally off the wall...and those politicians who try to draw such conclusions should be removed from office. Immigration has nothing to do with Race..Illegals in the USA should be put in Jail and deported back to their country of Origin

The operative word is "Illegal" ~ nothing else matters and I get soooooooo tired of people always pushing the race card. Half the time it isn't even a problem until someone starts whining about it.

Race doesn't matter. The problem is, those who oppose amnesty often speak about the dirty Mexicans. It really weakens their case, and reminds me of the civil rights movement. No one wanted to integrate, and there were a whole list of reasons. Most of the whites who opposed desegregation tried to claim it had nothing to do with race... riiiight. Blacks being thrown in jail left and right for breaking the law, when the law was not just.
