Can anyone assist in exposing a scam artist who is impersonating and asking Yahoo members to wire her money?

Yahoo member: baby4real0089 is pulling a scam by stating a sad story and she need you to send money to her via Western Union for an airline ticket out of London England/UK and then follows it by saying she needs additional money for a "BTA" Basic Travel Allowence and she can't fly until you send more money.I have contacted Scotland Yard/UK Police about her scam and she is working with a man that claims he is an Immigration Official inside Heathrow Airport and that I need to send her money for her to be able to fly into USA.Don't believe this woman and she has fake photos and fake jpeg copy of a visa/passport.She goes by the name of Alexi and wants to have money sent to her alias Yemi Jegede.She also tried having me send money to her friend in Nigeria that supposably lent her money to come fly and I was to repay her friend by wiring money via Western Union. lol I hope that Yahoo and the police will end her little confidence game/scam and put her and her team behind bars!Can anyone help

Actually, Irish, any solicitation of money via the Internet which is deemed illegal would technically be wire fraud.

And not all solicitation is illegal. Every business online solicits money in exchange for goods or services. Most politicians and political parties solicit funds over the Internet. Most non-profit organizations solicit funds. These activities certainly are not illegal.

If I post an ad on the Internet asking everyone to send me $1, it is not illegal. It becomes illegal when I promise a services or good that I have no intention of delivering.

Soliciting money over the internet is mail fraud. Call your local F.B.I. It's a Federal offense.

Yep go to http://help.yahoo.com/help/abuse/ to report her. Yahoo can deactivate her account. What a b*tch.

She is among thousands of solicitors from places like:
Nigeria and England,who somehow get a hold to email addresses,and send letters,stating they need you to send money,in order for them to get from some long lost,or dying relatives. I've gotten so many emails like that. I sent an email to abuse@yahoo.com,and I've yet to get a response from them. Because these emails were in my "Bulk" mailbox,I changed my email options,by not letting any bulk mail in at all. So now,all bulk mail is deleted,and never reaches me. Hopefully,an investigation will take place,against all spammers,and solicitors. So far,you have done the right thing. (Keep up the good work)
