In hongkong why is it that the law doesnt grant the overseas contract workers(esp.helpers) to live out? |
in hk. the immigration dept. doesnt allow domestic helpers to live out from the premises of their employer though the employer wants them to live out. What on earth is this law illegal. Where is the privacy, and the freedom of the choice to live is. Why is this a big deal to the people of hk. Why cant we allow people to live out if its their employers and employees agreement. But chasing them and force them to live-in is NOT FAIR. WAKE UP AND BE FAIR. I agree. Many governments (Hong Kong, UAE and others) feel the need to keep the overseas contract workers under their oppressive control and violate their basic human rights. Only global condemnation and action can have some impact. |
