What would it take to get HONEST People to represent us in WASHINGTON not crocked millionares.?

I am concerned with lobbiests who can get away with paying CROCKED ELECTED OFFICIALS for votes And seem to be Emune to punishment Our GOVERNMENT is becomining the laughing stock of The world. Vincenty Fox is not in charge of our borders neither is the IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT.
When will HONESTY BE THE THE SINGLE GOAL OF OUR GOVERNMENT. WE ARE TIRED OF BEING LIED TO. THIS IS NO LONGER THE LAND OF THE FREE OR THE HOME OF THE BRAVE. JUST THE MISSLEAD.

The truth is there is no "one man one vote," and there hasn't been since the beginning. It's just more obvious now, that our government is really about "one dollar one vote." Such is the way of a republic. So save up your money and become one of the haves.. that's the only way to win. Our government has no power. It's a front.

Maybe there should be a box on the ballot that says None Of The Above. If none of the above wins then we have another election with different people

Lower the paying for government officials and get those who cares for the WORKING American people to serve. And kick the lobbyist out.

We are still the land of the free and home of the brave! It sucks about the borders now, but at least it's finally getting attention. To answer the other part of your question, we need to stop electing "lawyers"!

In general, people get the elected officials that they deserve. The problem is:
1) voter turnout (pitiful)
2) nobody cares enough to challenge massive voter fraud, not even the candidate that should have won in Ohio (Kerry) or Florida (Gore)

Unfortunately, I don't see an honest candidate winning an election. Elections can be bought anymore, so the honest ones miss out. A few years ago I had a friend...an extremely honest friend...who was the Democratic chairman in Fairfield county, Ohio and he tried to run for office. (Fred Strawser...good man) A member of his own party stabbed him in the back and took his candidacy away in the primary. So they aren't even safe from their own allies. It's a shame that democracy had to come to this.

There are lots of poor crooks. Honesty has never been the main purpose of our Fore Fathers, you can not find it in the Constitution. Some secrets (military & state) must be kept from everyone. I do not like lobbyist but everyone on all sides use them & take their money. Why? The more money spent on commericals the better the chance of election.

In order for us to get this to happen, it would have to be made illegal for politicians to accept any gifts of any kind (the function performed by lobbiests). They would also have to have their "perks of the job" eliminated as well as the power to increase their own salary. If we truly want the most effective thing possible, it would be for the legislative branch to be "eliminated" and replaced with a system whereby everything would be a completely open vote to the public (the system used by the ancient Greeks). It would also help if the average American were educated on all the topics that were being decided upon, though this would probably be near impossible since one cannot possibly know about everything.

Make all the politicians take a salary cut and a salary cap that is the only way you will get all the crooks out of dc

Instituting IRV....instant runoff voting...it would allow third party candidates a real opportunity to win. As long as we continue with the electoral college, the Dems and Reps will own the elections.

Every generation thinks that their corrupt elected officials are the worst. The truth is, the elected officials for the last 200+ years have been corrupt and back-stabbing. Lobbyists have always been the bane of a democracy. The only solution is to work at the local level and help your honest friends get elected to office. But beware...Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely!
