Hit and Run Suspect-Bail lowered if he bonds out he will be deported back to Mexico????

This man hit a 16 year girl and killed her. He left the the accident and did not render aid. He had no DL no insurance no nothing.
The police had to track him down and arrest him. Now they are saying if he gets free on bond they are going to deport him back to Mexico. He kills someone gets out of jail and all he gets is deported back to his country just to be able to sneak back over here and be a free man. See below.
Felipe Manuel Sanchez who is being held at Lew Sterrett on charges of failure to stop and render aid to 16 year old Garland teen Jessica Hopper recently had his bail bond lowered. The charge is a third degree felony. Originally he was being held on $50,000 but on Oct. 26, a judge at his court hearing had the bond cut in half to $25,000.
According to Deputy Raul Reyna of the Dallas County Sheriffs Department, if Sanchez does post bond he will be turned over to US Immigration officials and be deported back to his home county of Mexico. I don't get it????

What's your thoughts???

Thats our governments way of saving money, sucks they don't care about the poor girl and the family.

Don't believe everything you read grass hopper. Or write.
Use common since shock jock

if he committed a felony he will go to court and if found guilty he will have to serve his sentence. when he finishes his sentence and is to be let go, Immigration officials will be notified of his pending release date and they will be there to pick him up and transport him to a detainment center until they deport him back. I see many immigrants who have committed minor traffic violations and are sentenced to minimal jail time, when their release date is coming up, we call our local immigration office and they schedual a p/up date.

Getting out on bail has nothing to do with deporting him????

If he is locked up, it is alot easier to put a deportation hold on him.

Now if he got ready to bond out, immigatation can come in and put a hold on him to keep him from getting out, but he would be held pending the US trial and prison time.
Then when he is ready to be released from US prision, immigration would keep the hold on him and then depart him.

Immigration would want a hold on him so he don't run off if he gets the bail.

If he is released on bail - he can return to Mexico anyway because there is no extradition treaty between Mexico and the US.

The odds against Sanchez being released on bail are slim - I've known people in jail who couldn't be released on $100 bond - never mind $25,000.

If the US wants to deport him to Mexico - so be it BUT unless Sanchez comes back for trial - Mexico won't do a **** thing about him.
