300k immigrants, ooops?

anybody else think that this government has made a *** of immigration, and should have set aside rules in the first place like skilled workers only.
like builders and plumbers to build homes to try and bring tied problems down in one movement

But what no one has mentioned is that no one knows how many migrants have left the UK. They know how many people have been issued NI numbers, but when anyone leaves the UK, they don't sign out at the door.

It's all gone t its-up and no one has a clue about fixing it except us average Joes on the street. But then, when have the esteemed "leaders" of our country ever listened to us?

I agree with your suggestion of limitations on work skills etc

Unfortunately for all of us who ever is in government has let this one go too far, they are all too concerned about being ultra PC, the Great British Empire, Buldog spirit etc etc, this newly published problem is probably only the tip of the iceberg.

I hope I'm wrong but 1.1million new voters might just tip it for who ever gets the vote next time.

Yes - years ago you had to be a prisoner to get into austrailia.... now... good weather, good living, Good bye if u are not skilled!!

Oh, and running / owning a corner shop is not a skilled job.

On holiday in yarmouth last year... on way home we called into a Tesco outside nottingham.... me, my wife and the 2 kids were the only white faces in there. And we could not understand any of the staff when asking if there was a cafe we could use.... may as well have been in Africa!

UK stinks - start deporting now!

The same thing has happened in Australia, finally the government are waking up and have changed the immigration laws as well as opening up the schools they stupidly closed a few years back which focused on Carpentry, plumbing skills etc. I am not racist, but I do resent when ringing our gas, electricity or phone companies and getting someone that has a thick foreign accent, and it takes me twice as long to get the problem resolved. There is a big push over here on entering this country now. They have to speak English, be skilled in someway, and adopt our policies for a better world. Prior to coming to the land of oz in 67, I remember many dark faces arriving, when I went home a few years later, I couldn't believe the changes, nearly every bus driver was black and spoke Scottish better than I did. I wondered what happend to all the white scottish bus drivers. Where did they go.? The UK will get there, people's voices will be heard. :-)

No, why should only skilled workers be allowed to move about? If you have people willing to do a job for less money and will do the job to as good, or better standard than domestic workers, why should we protect inefficiencies just because they were born here? Compete and don't complain.

Here an idea how about we stop all immigrants and train our own teenagers to be builders or is that to radical
