What do you think about the illegal immagrants in the U.S.?

"My friend" has a dad who is christian and never does anything wrong to hurt his personal record, but recently he was caught by immigration and "my friend" is really worried about how things will turn out.
Will his father be sent back or will he get his residence.

The big problem is not all the illegal immigrants here, but all the ones that are still coming. There are 10 million here from Mexico, and 50 million more on the way. When their population explodes, it will be 100 million. They all believe in a big family mentality, and that will me many many more are on the way. We can't support them all and survive. If you consider that is a drop in the bucket in the world (Indonesia, India), the situation is even worse.

idk

he may face deportation, which is definitely not the real action to take. but hey, ask BUSH.! he is the mastermind behind all this bullshit!

I think most of the people in the US ARE illegal so I think they should get a big break, most of the people that came here are not originally from here, their parents were not born here or their background is not here so people should ease up

I have do idea.

But I don't think we should send people back... Our immigration policies are queer to me.
At least there's that new citizenship test, though, I guess.

i dont care, as long as they arent draining our economy (if they are taxpayers) then theyre cool with me. everybody deserves a chance at life... if people want to come here to work, i will be their boss and make 50 times as much as them lol

Odds are he's going to be sent back. If "your friend's" mother is a legal citizin try telling that to his lawyer and seeing what he can do with that.

I am antiimmigration at this time , I believe he should be deported until he can return legally.

People who commit crimes should be punished.

Entering illegally is a crime.

Deportation is punishment for that crime.

Therefore, illegals should be deported.

I think illegal immigrants basically cut in front of all the people who go thought the proper procedures to be here. When they are found to be here illegally they should be sent back to the country they came from, its really simple, they broke the law and did not follow the proper procedures. The law doesn't care how good a person you are, breaking the law is breaking the law regardless. Most likely his father will be sent back.

Simple answer:

We need to send them all home.

They are a burden on our economy, and our health care system

A good deal of these people then mooch on welfare and the free schooling provided by tax paying Americans, all the while not paying taxes themselves. They are essentially living a life in the States for free, which cannot be tolerated, end of story. Giving licenses to illegal immigrants only encourages more illegal migration here. It depends on what they find. He will most probably be deported, which is what is deserved. Want to come here legally and pay taxes for your hospital fees? Fine. Want to come here ILLEGALLY and NOT pay taxes for all that nice medical care and schooling? Not fine.

I'm totally against illegal immigrants, sorry. I don't know what will happen to him, but I wish him the best.

What does his religion have to do with it? Are christians more welcome than others, are they outside the law?

As a legal resident who jumped through all the immigration hoops I think all the illegals should be either deported or have to prove their legitimacy to be here....ie no criminal record, no infectious diseases etc.

I don't see them as a problem but more as scapegoats for this administration in order to distract us from more immidiate and real problems that our country is facing. Would you or your ilk be willing to mow our yards or dig ditches in order to replace these folks that are really just trying to feed their families? They're not hurting us or our economy but corporate welfare is.

I don't believe in the term "illegal immigrant". The system is broken, not the people who cross the border(s). If the laws were enforced, we would not be facing this dilemma. The question is what do we do now?

I have a sister who has 6 children with a mexican illegal immigrant. I know through way of them many other illegal families as well. I have seen how they tend to live and how they get around the legal system here. I am not saying that there are NONE that do things properly, but of the people I've met this is the way it is. They have fake licenses and a habit of stealing social security numbers from people or even children. The people with these real numbers get to take their speeding tickets, jail time and whatever else they accumulate before deciding that it's time to get a new social security number. They live in a house with 4 or 5 families of peolple so as to keep their bills as a whole very low. Then they get signed up for food stamps and wic (each family does this separately). They work very hard for low pay on jobs that some of us wouldn't want, but when they get paid they send a lot of that money to their families back in Mexico. Guess what, this is a drain on the American economy. That is just my 2 cents from my personal experience.

** i think ** this gov. has done all it can to exploit those poor people. its sad. but true.

id rather not go into detail

There are "legal" and "illegal" immigrants in the U.S. why should the legal immigrants have to go through all they do to become legal, it we are not going to punish the illegal immigrants in any way and offer them assistance. He should have followed the law.

It depends.. If he has filed any kind of paperwork to become legal prior to his immigration arrest. But he`s most likely to get sent back if has been illegaly in the country for some time. Even if his son was born here. It doesn`t matter if he`s been a good or bad guy, if he`s been here illegally and not done anything to try to become legal he doesn`t have much of a chance..
