Would you support something like this?

If a friend was getting married for "immigration" purposes and there was no love involved, would you support them on what they're doing or would you try to talk them out of it? In my opinion, it's not good to support someone's wrong doing or any act of cheating or deceit. I think it's best to try to talk them out of it. It is considered fraud and also against my morals. What do you folks think about this situation?

In addition to that, she said that she felt like I was not supporting her. She had the nerve say, "You're supposed to be my friend. Act like it." Duh... In case she did'nt notice, I was. I don't know. Maybe she's blind or something. I understand she's trying to make a "good life" for her family, but it does pay off to do things the right and honest thing. Would you agree?

I agree that it's best to try to talk him/her out of it. I have a friend who did marry an immigrant for love, and it was terribly hard to convince INS that they were a "real" couple. It's also fraudulent, and could get your friend into a lot of trouble.

Yeah; try to talk them out of it. This convenience thing could rise up and bite your friend if he had money in the bank. If you get what I mean.

marriage is a scared ceremony between two people who love each other, and shouldn't be broken because of a loop hole in the system. i think you talk them out of it because it would likely lead to a screwed up relationship, and restrict both from an actual marriage based on true love.
