My question was: Does Joe Libierman represent the USA first or does he have an obligation to special friends?

I wrote to Joe in the 2004 election and told him I thought he should represent the USA first, first and first. The rest of the countries of the world are not the first interest of the American people when we have a lousy economy, no jobs, mortgage failures, high gas prices no health care for millions of our people so we should give billions of dollars away to countries because its the political correct thing to do.I say,no, hell no,

The largest Jewish population, outside Israel, is NYC. This is so because the French navy delivered 300 Jewish hostages they rescued from a pirate ship to NYC soon after America became a country.

By law, Russia and China may NOT organize a Political Action Committee or lobby within the USA, yet Israel can. America practices a representative democracy. After we elect officials, the officials are free to ignore the voters for 4 years and then concentrate on the wishes of the lobbies.

That's the hard facts of the matter. It's a money game, dude. I for one would rather see Russia with a voice in our government so we could deal with energy issues.

Because he's a Jew? Is that what you're asking?

Are Catholics not American enough because they have allegiance to a foreign prince (the Pope)?

For that matter, is a naturalized citizen less of an American?

This isn't about political correctness. This is about your basic failure to respect your fellow citizens. I don't like Lieberman, but I don't like him because of what he says and does, not because he's a Jew.

If this is an Israel rant, just know that our relationship with Israel brings our country many, many benefits. They share their technology with us. The aid money they give us goes right back into our economy by contract. They kill terrorists and give us a strategic ally in the region. Only if you want to hurt your own country would you support breaking ties with Israel.
