Ok this is a question for health and safety is it legal to have beds pushed against the walls in a care home |
i work in a care home, id just like to know for health and safety reasons! if it is ok to have beds against walls so carers have to pull them out to tend to the needs of residents, or to make them as we don't get paid sick leave if we injure ourselves I would think only the headboard should be up against the wall! So the care givers can tend to the patient without yanking the bed around in order to help him! If you don't have some plan to cover you if YOU get hurt on the job, something is wrong! I thought everyone is supposed to have Workman's compensation!! I wouldn't work in a place who doesn't have it!! |
