Why does our country..? |
care more about what a woman chooses to do with her body and cares more about whether or not 2 men or 2 women want to marry than our broken health care system where people would rather take their own lives because they cant afford medicine or they cant afford to go to the doctor because they dont have health insurance. a guy i know tried to take his own life yesterday and is now on life support for god knows how long because when he applied for health insurance the ongoing problem that he had that caused him pain EVERY SINGLE DAY said that it was a "pre-existing condition" and they gave him the boot. i guess america wants to see us all broke and dead than healthy how is letting someone die becuase they cant afford health car MORAL?????!!!!!! " i guess america wants to see us all broke and dead than healthy" I think your statement is correct. The government has no use for those that do not contribute, take veterans for example, the government has no use for them now, very sad but true.Im sure you heard about the VA hospitals and how bad they were when they did an investigation? Our government allows 20 million illegal immigrants health care at tax payers expence though so the corporations that contribute to their campaigns will have cheap labor. The people of our country cares much more about healthcare and other mportant issues than what other people want to do with their lives. The economy is usually #1, especially lately. The problem is that its a lot easier to campaign in sound bites than disertations and you can't argue for how best to fix healthcare in a soundbite. You're not going to see the reincarnation of the Lincoln-Douglas debates anytime soon. Because people are not aware of the facts, or do not care about them. Punctuation and better grammar would make your writing easier to understand, but I'll try to answer. Why do people from Canada venture down to our great country to get health care. Because we have much better technology & advanced medicine. You've answered your own question. Not many care if you're broke, or even dead, except your family. Because America also cares about ethics and morality There is no way to explain ignorance or greed. You either have understanding and Compassion for your fellow man or you do not. i personally don't care what a women does with her body, but if u mean abortion i do care about the baby they kill were ignorant. The excuse of taking ones life because they couldnt afford insurance is bogus, sorry but in America you cannot be turned away from medical care. Your friend has other issues. In America we have so many government programs, medicaid, ect that your friend could have gotten care if he had seeked it out.The proplem with giving everyone insurance like Canada has,is that taxpayers have to pay for that through higher taxes,it just doesent seem fair for people that work the hardest to have to pay for lazy peoples health care.We already pay billions of tax dollars for government aid to the poor. Most that could work, but decide to have a dozen kids instead. It is complicated, but nobody said life would be fair.I am curiouse though, who will pay for your friends medical bills now? The health care system isn't broken. It is actually very good. The thing that makes many people consider it to be broken is because it isn't a "free" commodity. First of all, most hospitals as long as they are not private have to treat anyone that comes in. That's why I am paying so much for my healthcare and why it is so expensive for everyone. I don't hear many illegal immigrants complaining about all the freebies they get. Second of all, the quality of healthcare will go down the tubes if the government starts dictating how much they can charge or whether or not they have to treat people regardless of insurance. There are clinics out there to help low income people. IT is called..... MORALITY! |
